Type in egg control code

Egg-laying day:

The chickens lay their eggs in the nest. The eggs are then packed by hand.

14 days:

Biologically speaking, the egg remains as fresh as on its laying date for 14 days. This is the period during which the embryo structure remains alive. However, it remains a valuable food product until its use-by date.

21 days:

The official selling period ends after 21 days.

28 days:

The EU has ruled that the best before date for chicken eggs is limited to 28 days from the day the egg is laid.

This date is printed on the carton and also on every single egg.
